Justin
Registered Dental Hygienist
Justin is a recent graduate as a dental hygienist, and his journey into dentistry began quite unexpectedly. While browsing different program options, he came across dental hygiene on a list and, despite never having considered anything dental-related before, it immediately intrigued him. He decided to give it a try, and in a stroke of luck, it turned out to be a perfect fit. The longer he was in school and the more he learned and practiced, the more he fell in love with the profession and the field of dentistry as a whole.
As a dental hygienist at the clinic, Justin provides comprehensive preventive oral care, including cleanings, assessments, patient education, and support tailored to each individual’s needs. His favorite part of the job is helping patients improve and maintain their oral health. Knowing that he is making a meaningful difference, whether by educating patients, easing concerns, or helping them keep their teeth as healthy and as long as possible, gives him a strong sense of accomplishment. He truly enjoys empowering people with the knowledge they need to feel confident about their oral health. Justin is also happy to support patients in both English and French, as he speaks fluent French and enjoys connecting with patients in the language they are most comfortable with.
Outside of the clinic, Justin loves spending time at his cottage, enjoying nature and the company of friends, especially evenings filled with joyful conversations around a beautiful crackling fire. He also enjoys visiting local food markets when they come to Orléans and attending community events on St. Joseph, such as Poutine Fest and Rib Fest. These moments help him recharge and bring balance to both his personal and professional life.
Melinda
Dental Assistant / Office Manager
Melinda has worked alongside Dr. Seth for several years and was excited to join Viva Family Dentistry as his Office Manager when he opened his clinic in 2021. In 2003, Melinda graduated as a Level 2 Dental Assistant knowing she made a great career choice because she was instantly fascinated with dentistry and enjoyed every aspect of providing care for the patients. Melinda continuously sought out ways to improve the patient’s experience and to create better systems for the team which led her to office management. Melinda is knowledgeable about dental procedures, treatment planning, and helping you receive the dental care you want and deserve. In the clinic, Melinda is eager to help wherever she is needed so you may find her at the front desk greeting you upon arrival, sending estimates and claims to insurance, or on the phone with insurance companies getting you the information you need about your policy. You may also find her in sterilization helping the clinical team process their instruments or chairside assisting Dr. Seth. Wherever you find her you are sure to see a smile on her face as she loves being a part of the Viva family and getting to know our patients! Melinda enjoys spending time with her family, camping, gardening, and baking. She loves supporting local businesses and checking out things to do in the area like Orleans and Navan markets, Petrie Island, Millenium Park, and more. Melinda truly values and appreciates every new patient and from the moment you first contact us and each time after she will be ready to assist you in any way possible to ensure every experience with Viva Family Dentistry is as pleasant as possible.
Kyanda
Administrator / Dental Assistant
Kyanda was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and moved to Ottawa when she was 8 years old. Kyanda’s interest in dentistry started when she took her son to the dentist for the first time when he was a child. She enjoyed watching the dental assistant work alongside the dentist. Since then, she knew she had found her passion for dental assisting and graduated as a dental assistant in 2013.
While working in the dental field, Kyanda has been able to apply her skills in multiple positions. She was not only able to work as a dental assistant but also had the opportunity to work as a receptionist as well as an office manager, making her knowledgeable and helpful in many ways to our patients.
Kyanda has worked alongside Dr. Seth for several years and when he opened his practice, she had the pleasure of being a part of Viva Family Dentistry since the first day it opened in 2021. Kyanda wants to build a bond with each of her patients and make them feel as relaxed and “at home” as possible. Kyanda loves seeing the patients leave with confidence.
In her free time, Kyanda enjoys spending quality time with her teenage son and boyfriend. Kyanda also enjoys finding time to watch her favorite crime and horror shows/movies.
Maryna
Administrator
With a passion for patient care and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service, Maryna plays a vital role as a receptionist at Viva Family Dentistry. Since joining the team in May 2024, Maryna has been instrumental in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, creating a welcoming environment for patients, and managing appointment scheduling with precision.
Maryna brings a wealth of experience in administrative support and customer service to the role. Known for excellent organizational skills and a friendly demeanor, Maryna effectively handles patient inquiries, manages billing and insurance processing, and coordinates with dental staff to facilitate seamless patient flow.
Besides, she can speak several languages (English-Ukrainian-Russian-Turkish)
In addition to daily administrative tasks, Maryna is dedicated to maintaining a positive and efficient office atmosphere, always prioritizing patient comfort and satisfaction. Maryna’s expertise and dedication contribute significantly to the high standards of care that Viva Family Dentistry is known for.
Outside of her professional duties, Maryna enjoys drawing, painting, nature trips, and hiking in Petrie Island and other local trails in Orleans, which further enhances her ability to connect with both patients and colleagues.
Sherianne
Registered Dental Hygienist
Sherianne is a dental hygienist with 14 years of experience. She started her career in Rimouski Quebec before settling in Ontario. With many years of professional experience, she provides the best oral care to her patients. She received the Faces Best Hygienist of Ottawa award in 2021, and she continues to help patients improve their oral health.
Outside of work, she enjoys home décor, gardening, and cooking. She likes to travel to different parts of the world. She enjoys going to the movies and attending local events.
Yvonne
Registered Dental Hygienist
Yvonne has 25 yrs of dental hygiene experience. She graduated from the University of Manitoba Dental Hygiene program in 1999, in addition to a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Ottawa. After practicing for a year in Winnipeg, she moved to Ottawa to be closer family. Yvonne regularly strives to improve her dental knowledge through continuing education to assure the best quality of care is given to all her patients. She enjoys treating patients of all ages. In her leisure time, Yvonne enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities and reading.
